We have added a automatic translation feature to the blog. You can read the blog in the language of your choice by selecting your language in the drop-down menu in the left upper corner of the page, or by clicking on the three-line icon (on mobile devices). However, as the quality of these translations isn't too great, I will be posting regular updates in English.
Peter has been in the hospital since Monday, and is treated with a new drug called decitabine (dacogen), which, according to the doctors, offers relatively good recovery chances while reducing side effects and putting less pressure on the heart. It is applied through a drip feed. The first cycle of treatment started on Tuesday and will last 10 days.
The first two days went well. Peter did not suffer too many side effects, and only felt a bit nauseous before the treatment started. He feels 'locked up' in his room though. Visitors are very welcome.
Of course, we hope and pray the treatment will be successful and without complications. Peter is very grateful for all the warm messages and support he is receiving.
